Castle Hills Community
For three terms each year, we participate in Castle Hills Community. There are two parts to these and we rotate between the two parts every other week. The first week we come together where we help one another grow—looking into the Bible together for guidance and encouraging one another. We share a meal together as we come together. The next week we reach out together to serve . Our aim is to see heaven brought to earth. We are serving in our immediate neighborhood.
Coming Together
In the Spring Term, we have two options for coming together.
The Sunday Afternoon community meets at 12:15 pm. This community gathering alternates with the Edgewood Assisted Living reaching out in our biweekly rhythm.
The Thursday community meets at 6:30 pm and will be a conversation on biblical stewardship. This coming together alternates with Financial Peace University in our biweekly rhythm.
Both of these groups share a meal together when we gather.

Reaching Out
Continuing from our Winter Term, Financial Peace University is a way that we are reaching out. There is a cost of $80 to participate in this class. It meets every other Thursday from 6:30-8:30 at Castle Hills Church (5707 Castle Drive, Boise).
Every other Sunday, from 1:30 to 2:30, we have one group that plays board games and shares encouraging conversation with the residents of Edgewood Assisted Living.

We reach out to see the Cynthia Mann Elementary School community flourish. We will be helping with a weekend food insecurity program and are looking for opportunities to assist teachers-listening to students read or tutoring in math. This group schedules directly with teachers and does not all serve at the same time. We keep in contact to share our joys and challenges. We will be hosting students in our kids' garden and they will have opportunities to participate in the garden first hand.
Another gardening season is upon us in the Castle Hills community garden. This opportunity to reach out will involve letting the neighborhood know about gardening opportunities, preparing the garden, and possibly helping in the kids garden to educate young gardeners.
